Friends of Maui Waena is an all-encompassing support for the community of learners that make up Maui Waena.
Currently, we are focused on supporting our out of school time programs. These include our UPLINK, REACH & STEMwork AFTERschool program, our intersession camps, and our summer program.
It has been proven that involvement in out of school time activities:
- Promotes self-confidence
- Builds a sense of community
- Encourages school attendance
- Gives students a sense of identity and purpose
- Helps students find their passion
- Exposes students to new skills
- Provides a safe and healthy environment
